Ebru Unal is currently a Ph.D candidate in Petroleum Engineering Department at University
of Houston and expecting to graduate May 2019. Her research interests include innovative
completion techniques and analysis. She has been working as a Research and Teaching
Assistant for various undergraduate level drilling and graduate level production courses,
including Mud Rheology Lab, Well Control Simulation Lab, Core Lab, Advanced Petroleum
Production Operations, etc. She has various oil and gas internship experiences both
in conventional and unconventional reservoirs. She holds an M.Sc degree in Petroleum
Engineering from New Mexico Tech, Socorro, NM and a B.Sc degree in Geological Engineering
from Middle East Technical University, Turkey. Prior to VC Marketing position in Energy
Coalition, Ebru held President and Vice President roles for West Texas Turkish-American
Association, American Association of Drilling Engineers and Society of Petrophysicists
and Well Log Analysts TTU student chapters. She is an active member of Phi Kappa Phi
Honor Society, SPE, AADE, SPWLA. Some of her hobbies are traveling and skiing.
