Startup Stage: Funding

After Pitch Day, the next step is turning interest into support. This stage is all about securing the resources to grow. É«»¨Ìà Innovation helps founders connect with the right funding opportunities, whether through grants, early-stage investment, or strategic partnerships.

Many teams move directly from pitching into real conversations with funders, advisors, and the É«»¨Ìà Office of Technology Transfer and Innovation. The goal is not just to raise capital, but to build meaningful relationships that move ventures forward.

SBIR & STTR Grant Support

Two key funding sources for early-stage innovators are the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. These federal grants provide non-dilutive funding to support R&D with strong commercial potential, especially valuable for university-led ventures.
