EDUCAUSE is a nonprofit association whose mission is to advance higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology. The É«»¨Ìà is a member of EDUCAUSE.

The EDUCAUSE Center for Applied Research (ECAR) provides access to research about the application and use of information technology in higher education. The É«»¨Ìà subscribes to the ECAR research service, so it can be accessed free by É«»¨Ìà faculty, staff, and students using an EDUCAUSE assigned Username and Password.

Creating an EDUCAUSE Profile

Part I

1. Go to the and click on the Create One Now link under the EDUCAUSE logo.
2. On the Create an EDUCAUSE Profile page,
   • Enter your É«»¨Ìà email address, and click Next.
   • Complete the Create an EDUCAUSE Profile form, and click Continue.
3. You will receive a message indicating you will receive an email message within one business day with instructions on how to create your EDUCAUSE profile.

Part II

1. In the EDUCAUSE Profile Information email message you will receive the next day, complete your EDUCAUSE profile by clicking on the link provided.
2. On the Create an EDUCAUSE Profile page,
   • Enter your É«»¨Ìà email address, and click Next.
     Note: Please use the same email address you used to create your profile in Part I.
   • Create a Username, and click Continue.
3. In the Login Wizard page,
   • On the About Me page, fill out the form, and click Continue.
   • On the Preferences page, select your preferences for EDUCAUSE communications, and click Continue.
   • On the Peer Directory page, select your preferences for the EDUCAUSE peer directory, and click Continue.
   • On the Review Settings page, review and edit your personal information and preferences if necessary, and click Submit.
4. You will receive a confirmation email message with instructions to complete your EDUCAUSE profile.
   • Click on the link provided to complete your EDUCAUSE profile.
5. You will receive a message confirming you have created your EDUCAUSE profile and informing you that your login credentials (i.e., your Username and Password) have been sent to the email address you provided.
6. The EDUCAUSE Profile Information email will contain your login credentials, and the link to the EDUCAUSE login page.
