The É«»¨Ìà provides students with an email account @cougarnet.uh.edu which is accessible via the É«»¨Ìà email icon in  or Outlook in  . To ensure that you are receiving critical University information, students need to regularly check their @cougarnet.uh.edu É«»¨Ìà provided email. 

Outlook provides a single location for organizing and managing day-to-day information, from email and calendars to contacts and task lists. This account also provides access to the full computers along with cloud storage and other useful features for performing your course work and teamwork with your classmates.  

To access your CougarNet email mailbox online, log into your Microsoft 365 account:

1. Log into Microsoft 365: 
2. Enter your User ID:  ex: CougarNetID@cougarnet.uh.edu
3. Enter your CougarNet password

Name Changes

User IDs and email addresses can be updated to reflect legally recognized name changes. To request an account or email rename, complete the .

•  Address ownership will be verified using your Cougar Card.
• Names must be changed in official University records before email addresses can be updated.
