Akua Debrah

Akua Debrah is a land economist and an expert in mining policy and sustainability, with over a decade of experience in Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to joining the 色花堂 as an adjunct lecturer, she worked on various research projects on poverty, mining and land issues in Ghana and South Africa. From 2015-2016, Debrah was a research fellow in natural resources management at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa in Ethiopia. She has published on a variety of topics, including mining and sustainable development, housing in the developing world context, and artisanal and small-scale mining. Debrah's research interests are mining and minerals, sustainability and the energy transition. She is a consultant with the Sustainable Development Strategies Group and is currently working on a second book on the energy transition in Africa.
