The É«»¨Ìà System-endorsed Student Health Insurance Plan is AcademicBlue, underwritten by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas and administered by (AHP). is a separate company that provides management and administrative services for AcademicBlue.

At the Student Health Center, the deductible will be waived and benefits will be paid at 100% of covered expenses. Prescription Drugs at the Campus Pharmacy only, 100% after; a $10 copayment per each generic drug; a $25 copayment per each preferred brand-name drug; and a $70 copayment per each non-preferred brand-name drug. Voluntary Enrollment

Undergraduate students attending the É«»¨Ìà who are enrolled in 6 or more credit hours (3 for summer sessions) are eligible to enroll for coverage in the É«»¨Ìà System-endorsed Student Health Insurance Plan direction through during the Open Enrollment Period each term.

Graduate students attending the É«»¨Ìà who are enrolled in 3 or more credit hours are eligible to enroll for coverage in the É«»¨Ìà System-endorsed Student Health Insurance Plan directly through during the Open Enrollment Period each term.

International Students

International students with “F” or “J” visa status are required to be covered under the É«»¨Ìà System-endorsed Student Health Insurance Plan or have equivalent health insurance coverage, regardless of the number of credit hours taken.
