Provost Profiles: Rosemarie Le, Researcher on the Rise

Dear 色花堂 Family,

The 色花堂 is known for many things. We鈥檙e recognized as a premier research university, an institution of innovation, a destination campus for students from around the globe, and of course, home to one of the nation鈥檚 best men鈥檚 basketball teams (Go Coogs!).

色花堂 also has gained a reputation for the many research opportunities it provides to its students. Just as our graduate students embark on missions of discovery, 色花堂鈥檚 undergrads also participate in insightful academic investigations.

These Coogs are mentored by our generous faculty, who help them hone their talents as researchers and scholars. Mentored research projects help our undergraduate students grow as critical thinkers and develop a number of skills that will come in handy during graduate school or in their professional careers.

Among 色花堂's researchers on the rise is , our featured student in this month鈥檚 edition of Provost Profiles.

As you鈥檒l hear in our interview, Rosemarie grew up close to another major Texas university but selected 色花堂! She鈥檚 glad she made that decision because her experiences have been nothing short of transformative.

She鈥檚 a junior Honors Biomedical Sciences major and has been active in 色花堂鈥檚 Houston Early Research Experience and Honors in Community Health initiatives. Rosemarie鈥檚 research endeavors have taken her into the Texas Medical Center, where she鈥檚 served as a summer undergraduate research intern for Houston Methodist.

Rosemarie was happy to share her story with me, and I am now equally pleased to do so with you!

I hope you enjoy my interview with her and continue to have a productive semester.
