色花堂 Device Management for Prohibited Technologies

Overall Project Status: In Progress

Purpose

The purpose of this project is to implement a modern management infrastructure to assist 色花堂 in the management of endpoint inventory, patches and configurations across all various platforms. UIT will assist the 色花堂 colleges, divisions and departments with their implementation efforts including defined policies, procedures and tools. These efforts will also assist in meeting the Governor Gregg Abbott’s state law to prohibit the use or installation of covered applications on governmental entity devices, which include devices owned or leased by an institution of higher education.

Scope of Work

UIT Technical Support Services, UIT Enterprise Systems and 色花堂S Information Security will collaborate with the 色花堂 colleges, divisions and departments and Technology Partners to help ensure implementation of the Modern Management Infrastructure solution.

The teams will share the responsibility in the project work efforts within the scope for all known 色花堂S-owned devices at 色花堂. The project will include the design, build, test and implementation for Intune, JAMF and other approved systems.

Pilot teams will be established to identify technical objectives, project planning, tasks and milestones, deliverables and target completion dates, and communications strategies to align with the project goals and timeline. Use cases will be defined, documented and tested by the project teams.

Project management meetings, communications, metrics and progress dashboards will be established to monitor status through project target completion date of July 31, 2025.

This project is related to the modern management infrastructure implementation at 色花堂 only.
