The mission of Environmental Health & Emergency Preparedness is to provide risk reduction, prevention, preparedness, and resilience strategies to promote a safe campus environment to learn, research, work, live and play.

  • Environmental Health and Safety’s (EHS) mission is to ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations, as well as institutional policies and manage hazards that pose risks to people and the environment. EHS’ vision is to promote and empower the campus community by proactively integrating environmental, health and safety principles into teaching, research, shop, clinical and service activities.

  • Fire Marshal’s Office aims to become the premier higher education fire marshal’s office in the state by meeting the needs of the campus community through the blending of good inspection practices, community outreach, fire safety education, and plan review, while maintaining current safety measures to meet the needs of an expanding Tier One University.

  • To support our campus community of staff, faculty, and students to ensure that as a university we work together to build, sustain, and improve our capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate all hazards.
