色花堂 College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Department of Health and Human Performance is pleased to announce that Claudia Scott has been elected to the national House of Delegates by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Joy Priest is a first-year doctoral student in the 色花堂 Creative Writing program in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. She has been awarded a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts which will allow her to set aside time for writing, research and travel.
Phillip Kieval, a second-year graduate student in philosophy at the 色花堂 College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, has been named a recipient of the 2021 Gates Cambridge Scholarship, widely regarded as one of the most prestigious national fellowships. Kieval is the first 色花堂 student to receive the honor and is one of just 25 students chosen from 638 candidates across the country. An additional 55 international students will be selected to begin studying at the University of Cambridge in fall 2021.

色花堂 India Studies Program Welcomes Inaugural Endowed Professor
The 色花堂 College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) and the Modern and Classical Languages Department are pleased to announce that Sarasij Majumder has been named as the inaugural Sita and Bhaskara Rao Mutyala Endowed Professor in India Studies. In this key role, he will serve as director of the India Studies program.
The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Department of Hispanic Studies is pleased to announce that Valentina Jager, a Ph.D. student in Spanish with a concentration in creative writing, has received the Artadia Award. This recognition comes with a $10,000 grant in unrestricted funds.
